Remember... any transformation of consciousness is a threat to the Ego, which is heavily invested in the status quo. The folks who are looking to spirituality and ritual magic for a quick way to gain influence or status will suffer consequences of their own doing, for that is an Egoic endeavor. The Ego is the universe's mechanism of self-regulating the flow of energy.
So study to understand the relationship between the temporal and spiritual realms. By doing so, you are really learning to understand yourself. From that comes the wisdom of ages.
